Research into the development of novel energy technologies, energy policy, and financial, economic, and legal solutions is a vital part of addressing key energy-related challenges facing humanity beyond 2024.

To promote the development of energy research in the academic community, the Longhorn Energy Club, Switch Energy Club, and American Nuclear Society are hosting an interdisciplinary research competition during UT Energy Week (March 25-29, 2024), an annual conference that brings together experts from government, academia, and industry for panel discussions on pressing energy topics.

The Longhorn Energy Club, Switch Energy Club, and American Nuclear Society invite undergraduate and graduate students to submit an abstract AND video in one of two categories:

  1. Energy Technology
  2. Energy Policy, Law, Finance, and Economics.

From these submissions, qualifying projects will be chosen to participate in a poster session to take place on Wednesday, March 27, 5:30-7:30pm, at Energy Week (Rowling Hall, RRH 1.400F).

Prizes will be awarded (from a pool of $1,750) according to scores by a panel of judges from academia and industry.

Deadline: Friday, March 1
