TEX-E is excited to invite Texas students to join a unique learning opportunity September 22-24, live and in person at Greentown Houston. The TEX-E Bootcamp for Climatetech Entrepreneurship is a free weekend course that teaches undergraduate and graduate students how to start new ventures for the energy transition. The course will be taught collaboratively by faculty from Texas universities alongside faculty from MIT, where the pioneering Climate & Energy Ventures Course has educated entrepreneurs who have gone on to launch over 50 ventures over the past decade.
Students do not need to come in with a startup company or idea. Beginners are welcome! Throughout the weekend, participants will learn from leading academic minds in the field of energy innovation and work together on collaborative projects that could be the genesis of a new enterprise, leaving the program with enhanced readiness to tackle one of the biggest problems humanity has ever faced. Following the bootcamp, TEX-E will provide further opportunities for these newly forged climate champions to continue honing their skills.
The application deadline is Sunday, August 27, 11:59pm CT. Seats are limited, and participants will be selected based on the quality of their applications. All participants MUST be able to attend the whole weekend (beginning Friday at 10am; ending Sunday at noon) in order to qualify.
Participation in this event is free of charge. Transportation and accommodation will be provided for students traveling from Austin, College Station, and Prairie View.
